The GSAM Private Credit Group is responsible for identifying investment opportunities, conducting research and due diligence on prospective investments, structuring investments and monitoring and servicing investments.

Alex Chi
Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-President
Mr. Chi was appointed as the co-chief executive officer and co-president of the Company in March 2022. Mr. Chi is Americas co-head of Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Mr. Chi is a member of the Asset Management Private Credit Investment Committee and Specialty Lending Group Investment Committee. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Mr. Chi worked in the Financial and Strategic Investors Group within the Investment Banking Division from 2006 to 2019, where he managed the firm’s relationships with private equity and related portfolio company clients. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Chi was in Leveraged Finance, where he originated and executed leveraged loan and high yield financings for sponsor and corporate clients across all industries. From 1997 to 2000, he was based in Hong Kong, working on mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financings, privatization and restructuring assignments for clients across Asia Pacific. Mr. Chi joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 as an analyst and spent his first three years at the firm across the Information Technology, Fixed Income Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance groups. Mr. Chi serves on the Board of Directors for the JED Foundation and the Korean American Community Foundation.
David Miller
Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-President
Mr. Miller was appointed as the co-chief executive officer and co-president of the Company in March 2022. Mr. Miller is Americas co-head of Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Mr. Miller is a member of the Asset Management Private Credit Investment Committee and Specialty Lending Group Investment Committee. Prior to his current role, Mr. Miller was head of originations for the Specialty Lending Group. Mr. Miller joined Goldman Sachs in 2004, was named managing director in 2012 and partner in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Miller was senior vice president of originations for GE Capital, where he was responsible for structuring and originating loans in the media and telecommunications sectors. Prior to working at GE Capital, Mr. Miller was a director at SunTrust Bank, responsible for originating and managing a portfolio of middle market loans.
Justin Betzen
Vice President
Mr. Betzen was appointed as a vice president of the Company in August 2022. Mr. Betzen is a managing director and senior underwriter in Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focused on middle market lending in the Americas. Mr. Betzen is a member of the BDC Investment Committee and the Private Credit Investment Subcommittee. Mr. Betzen initially joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 as an associate and rejoined the firm as a vice president in 2013. Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Betzen worked at Newstone Capital Partners, focused on second lien, mezzanine and minority equity investing. Prior to initially joining the firm, Mr. Betzen worked at JPMorgan Chase in the Technology Corporate Banking Group, focused on software, services and payments companies.
Greg Watts
Vice President
Mr. Watts was appointed as a vice president of the Company in August 2022. Mr. Watts is a managing director and senior underwriter in Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focused on middle market lending in the Americas. Mr. Watts is a member of the BDC Investment Committee and the Private Credit Investment Subcommittee. Mr. Watts joined Goldman Sachs in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Watts spent five years with GE Capital's Technology, Media and Telecom Finance Group as a senior vice president in underwriting and portfolio management, including managing the distressed portfolio acquired from Heller Financial. Before working at GE Capital, Mr. Watts was an associate at Investcorp International. Mr. Watts began his career as an investment banking analyst in Salomon Smith Barney's Mergers and Acquisitions Group.
Julien Yoo
Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Yoo was appointed as the chief compliance officer of the Company in June 2019. Ms. Yoo is Vice President of GSAM Compliance, Head of US Regulatory Compliance and Private Investing Compliance teams within GSAM Compliance, and Chief Compliance Officer of the GS Mutual Funds, Closed End Funds and Exchange-Traded Funds. Ms. Yoo joined the firm in 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Julien was a Vice President in the legal department of Morgan Stanley Investment Management for 5 years. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she was an associate at Shearman & Sterling, LLP and at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP from 1996-2004.
